A new way to initiate an Alert has arrived!

To send an alert via Cellphones use your text messaging ability and type in " Alert@alertrecall.com " instead of a phone number.

** It is recommended that you save "Alert@alertrecall.com" in your cellphone for easy reference. **

Students have a new way to launch an Alert using their cell phones and text messaging. The text will be sent through normal alert processing keeping true to confidentiality and security.

The preferred way to text, for speed and accuracy, is based on a scale of 1 to 5. Where 1 is the most severe or most sure and 5 is the least severe or least sure. The format would be [Severity of actions] [Level of assurance] followed by the State, School, and actions.
For example, a student at Washington High school learns of a gang fight after school that he is very sure of and has time in-between classes to text but not get to a computer he or she could simply enter the Alert number (Soon to come) and text the following message:
1 1 Az WshngtnHS Gng fght aftr school at *insert location*
or
1
1
az
Washington High School
Gang fight after school at *insert location*

However the texts may be in any format as long as they include the following information: School name, State (Abbreviations are accepted), Severity of alert, Actions, and the amount of which they are sure.
